Graduates Tossing Caps

Hello!

My name is Taylor Gamroth and I am a senior at the University of Wyoming pursuing a bachelor's degree in secondary English Education. I am also working towards two minors: ESL and Journalism. I am a Laramie native and hope to become a high school or middle school teacher in an English Language Arts program, helping shape young minds and teaching literacy and writing.

What is this all about?

As a class of seniors at the University of Wyoming, we embarked on an assignment to select a site of faded, hidden, or erased public memory on campus and then research its story and analyze it as a rhetorical presence/absence. Once our class site analyses were complete, we created a walking tour that would connect our public memory sites and lead people around to faded, hidden, or erased sites around campus to learn more about their legacies. I hope you enjoyed reading about Trumans's 1950 speech at the Arts & Sciences building on my website and hope you consider taking part in our class's pocket sites tour!

Take the Walking Tour!
